How long has Arts & Scraps been producing events/programs?  How often do you produce events?
We have been custom designing programs and events for 19 years.  In 2008, we produced 155 events of various sizes and 419 programs.

What liability do I have when our materials are donated to Arts & Scraps?

To reduce your liability:
- We do not release the name of our donors or where any materials originated
- We ask you to be very particular about the materials donated—non-toxic, clean, no sharp edges
- We do not accept materials containing lead, phthalates or other harmful materials
- We print disclaimers on our kits
- We carry a $2,000,000 liability insurance policy.

We cannot control who could possibly sue anyone, but we believe we take reasonable precautions to prevent risk for both the donor and for Arts & Scraps.

Do you tell people where the items came from?  I don’t want people calling me.
We do not release donor names unless advised otherwise.

Do you come when you say you will?  I don’t have much storage.
We set up a regular schedule that is convenient to you; if called for a special pickup, we can almost always be at a site within 2 to 3 days.

How do you distribute materials to the community?  Do you sell things?
Arts & Scraps does sell things at minimal costs to cover 70% of the organization’s operating expenses.  Items in our store are sold for less than the cost of maintaining them.  We combine materials from many sources along with our ideas in our programs and products.  We are fee-based and believe that the stability it creates is the best way to serve the community.
